We had a lifetime of pictures on an external drive that crashed. Remembered that the photos were on an old laptop. Tried to turn it on and it to was non functioning. Contacted File Savers in Bentonville. They gave it a free analysis. Told us there was a good chance “broken” hard drive could be repaired and data retrieved. Price was quoted, we accepted, and work was completed sooner than expected. We were sent an external drive. Plugged it in and viola, memories restored.

I’m only giving this company one star because they could have done the job. I call about a data recovery for a 1-2TB drive with .wav files to sift through before I go record my new album with my label in Nashville. They were super nice on the phone during my inquiry and told me I can come in for a quote. Cool! So finding this place is like walking through a maze out of the show “The office” I had to stop and ask a stranger for directions. There was only a desk lady to greet me, and she gave me virtual documents to sign. My trip is soon so for the “song sifting” to be useful for my trip I chose the priority option. This option is $699-$3000. I filled out the quote form because I thought surely recovering 4-5 songs would be in the $700 range. They call me to quote me within a few days, and quote me at the full $3000. No way Jose. On top of that while waiting for the quote I was contacted by my label and they reassured me they have the files and I can just get another back up when I arrive. So this was just to be extra safe. The quoted that called me was extremely condescending and talking to me like I was an idiot. That alone turned me off from the job as I was considering the price. I politely said I would just come pick up my drive and thanked them for the quote. He proceeds to rudely tell me that’s impossible because it has already been shipped to their headquarters. Well excuse me, how was I supposed to know that? I was under the impression we were still in the quoting process but they took it upon themselves to ship off my personal property without my consent. On top of that they wanted to charge me a $40 shipping fee to send it back to me. These guys are reputable by the reviews alone for sure. But my experience was extremely shocking and unprofessional. It wreaked of “We know your files are important so here’s the max price.” Side note he offered to drop it down to their regular service which would have been out of my window of need for a whopping $2000. How kind. I opted for them to recycle my drive for parts. And if I ever need data recovery I will be looking elsewhere. And as a recording artist I deal with this all the time.

Had a 19+ year old external teradrive fail to power or respond. File savers were able to recover all the data from the bad-condition drive. Years of family pics were priceless. Service was expedient and they kept me informed throughout the process. It was a bit pricey, but the results are worth it! Highly recommend!
