The difference between the first phone call I had with the rep and the rest of the experience with the company was borderline predatory practice. Had the impression the process would be quick and communicated. After a week of not hearing anything about my case I call and leave a message asking what the status is. No call back for another week. I call again. No answer. Starting to panic a bit I check my email (which I don’t usually do as the phone is usually where I’m contacted if important info is being relayed). TWO HOURS after they received my device in the mail they sent me an automated email saying my data was unrecoverable AND they would throw away my device in 2 weeks from that day if they didn’t hear from me. No explanation of why it’s unrecoverable. My device was not physically damaged or super complex. So I pay $60 for shipping to get the thing back and call again asking for details on the case because I still would like to get the data back on my own or with another company. No answer no call back so far. It’s been about another week. For all I know this company could have mined my data and/or uploaded a virus to my drive and made me to pay them to get it back, because I STILL have had 0 communication with anyone apart from the customer intake which is very obviously the only thing they care about. Luckily I got my device back before they “securely disposed of it” but it did cost $60 which is crazy. Bottom line do not send your device to this company. I suggest you find a locally owned shop where you can show up and talk to someone, especially because data retrieval is complex and often a stressful experience. Oh and SALVAGEDATA if you would like to rectify this review because people will see it, please do respond with a reply! It would be nice to finally get a simple line of communication about my case that I deserve as your customer.

During a trip to wilderness I recorded everything on my GoPro HERO 10 using SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB memory card. When I got home and inserted card into my computer I discovered that it was unreadable. Camera couldn’t recognize it either. All my files videos from hikes skydiving jumps and underwater footage were completely inaccessible. I tried several data recovery programs switched adapters but nothing worked..That’s when I decided to turn to professionals and chose SalvageData based on recommendations I found online.
