Thank you Daniel Novak and Secure Data for restoring my files from the corrupted hard drive of my old family laptop! I was anxious to use a service and ship off my drive, but I ran out of options trying to recover it myself. My son’s iPhone shut down and went into a boot loop after getting wet. After much online research and a trip to the Apple store, it seemed his data might be gone. I called several data recovery service providers and received multiple quotes. Tim at Secure Data Recovery was very professional, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and thus instilled confidence. In roughly 2 weeks, they were able to perform a full data recovery and I received everything on a new external HD. As a bonus, the price came in on the lower end of the quoted range. I’m sure that’s not the case for everyone, but it sure made me a happy customer. I hope you never need a data recovery service, but if you do, I highly recommend Secure Data Recovery!

I want to leave a negative review about File Save Data Recovery, where I unfortunately tried to recover data from my hard drive. This company not only failed to recover data from the hard drive, but also physically damaged the data by opening the hermetic block. The story is as follows: During a power outage, the hard drive failed. The computer stopped detecting it. The platters spun up, and after two minutes, I heard them stop. I decided not to attempt repairs without specialized equipment and immediately took the hard drive to File Save Data Recovery at 321 S Boston Ave #300, Tulsa, OK 74103. They accepted it for repair. Two weeks later, I tried to find out how things were going, but they told me that things were slow and I should wait. This went on for four months, and then a File Save Data Recovery representative emailed me saying they couldn't recover the data because the Winbond 25Q20BW chip had failed. It contained firmware, and they can't recover a hard drive without it. For four months, they kept telling me that recovery was happening, albeit slowly. Finally, they offered to recycle my hard drive for free. I refused and asked for it back. They said I had to pay $40 for return shipping. I personally delivered my hard drive to the office, but it was supposedly taken to a lab outside of Tulsa. I paid for the shipping, and File Save Data Recovery returned my drive to me by mail. On the drive, I discovered that the Winbond 25Q20BW chip had been replaced with a Pm25WD020. I also saw that the seal on the hermetic block had been broken, meaning the hermetic block had been opened. I started looking for another company that would agree to recover my data. It wasn't easy, but I found a highly qualified company. They recovered 99 percent of my information in five days. And they said that if the hermetic block hadn't been opened, they likely could have recovered even more. That's why I'm leaving the worst review possible for File Save Data Recovery. I was completely dissatisfied with their work.

Highly recommend if you lose your data! I had 8 years of lesson plans on a hard drive that one day decided to stop working. Secure Data was recommended to me by the maker of the hard drive. The process was easy-I was sent a box to send in my drive for free and if I decided not to go with secure data recovery, they'd send it back for a small price (I think $28?) When Chris called to tell me the price of the recovery, I just about fell through the floor. I'm a teacher and as I'm sure we all know, I don't make tons of money. Chris was great about this and found ways for me to save. The turnaround time was 'not urgent,' and I was expecting it to take much longer than it did. So when it was ready with all my data recovered in just a few short weeks I was ecstatic! It may be a little costly, but the customer service interaction with Chris seriously eased my stress and anxiety 100%. I would highly recommend this company to recover your data if you ever need it. Ask for Chris!!!
