First of all, this is a service which guarantees quality job, and I would highly recommend to work with Chris on your data recovery. I was able to get my Seagate Harddrive which was not reading more when plugged in, and decided to take it to this service. Chris, who handles the job, is very personable & flexible, he was even able to communicate with me on a Sunday when I contacted him as I saw the 24/7 service on the website. He took in for a first two days for assessing, and gave me a call to tell me most can get fixed! - which was such a relief knowing it in earlier times than later. Then, it took 2 weeks to fix as he needed the time to make sure things can be recovered. I really appreciated how he wanted to make sure thing worked fully, as there were some files that were still corrupt or not showing when I came back to pick up - he'd tell me let me revisit those and fix them, and basically when I was satisfied, I could make the final payment. I truly admired his responsibility and commitment. It was $800 in total, but it is worth for the service you get, as Chris is on top with his communication and + considering all the files you cherish can actually be recovered. Do not be fooled by the (very) unassuming building--I am convinced X Files Recovery is the best place I could've chosen for my data recovery needs. I had an external hard drive that randomly crapped out after only 3 years and I was DEVASTATED at the thought of losing everything that was on it. Chris kept me updated throughout the process and he was amazingly able to recover everything I wanted despite my hard drive being in really bad shape. I was over the moon. I had no idea data recovery was so expensive before this, but I know Chris gave me a super fair price compared to another quote I was given. He also got me a new hard drive to put the salvaged data on, and gave me some great advice. Then, when I was having trouble with the hard drive two years later, he went above and beyond to find the solution (it was the cable I was using). I recommend him wholeheartedly!

I'm a DJ, and while transitioning my music library to external hard drives, the only copy of it ended up stuck on a broken drive. I found X Files on google. Chris was extremely helpful. He offered a very reasonable price, was very responsive, and did quick work. He was able to recover my entire music library. It's very important to me and my work so having someone knowledgable was imperative. I couldn't be more happy with the service I received from Chris and X Files Recovery. I recommend them highly!
