My hard drive failed on my HP laptop and I contacted Secure Data Recovery. Within minutes of filling out the form online to request more information, Chris McMacken gave me a call to talk through the services. Given that it is a free estimate, I went ahead and tried it out. After receiving the quote back once they had evaluated the drive, he worked with me and his manager on a price that was within budget and expectations. Chris was very helpful, quick to respond, and very easy to understand. I received my drive yesterday and found that all of the files were on the external drive as they communicated! Great job, I would highly recommend them.

Highly recommend Secure Data Inc. They were able to recover my data on an external hard drive. I worked specifically with Scott McMacken throughout the process. Scott went above and beyond to communicate with me throughout the process for a successful recovery of my data, including timeframe, costs, plans, recovery rate, etc. This process was better than expected; 99% recovery. Timeframe was quicker than expected; less than two weeks. Cost was on the high side; however, you get what you pay for.

Stay away from these guys. They are inept, are liars, and will cheat you. One star is too much. I sent them a perfectly good dvr recorder (Philips) that contained all of our family movies (the equivalent of over 60 DVD's). Philips designed the recorder to not allow easy transfer from the hard drive. However, there is software and process out there on the web that documents how to do it (all over You Tube). I did not trust myself with the technicalities of doing it so I thought I would turn to the "pros". BIG MISTAKE! Two days after sending my recorder I got an email saying they were done and could only get "less than 50 percent of the data". They said once you pay the bill ($250 plus $99 for a cheap hard drive and $50 FedEx shipping) they would ship it to me. I received an external hard drive with only about half of the movies transferred to it. But they did not ship back my Philips recorder. Over the next three weeks I had to beg to get my recorder back (of course I had to pay another $35 shipping). These liars assured me that I would get the device back in working condition (as I sent it to them). I got it back today disassembled (see pictures below). I have so much more I'd like to share but all I ask is that you do business with someone else more talented, reputable and ethical. Brendan Hodge did the work, Brent Jackson is the President CEO and lied to me and ghosted my inquiries over the last month. I do not trust these guys and I hope you will not as well. Pictured below is the unit that I dropped off and the unit I received after these guys screwed it up. Late addition If you have any question about the integrity of these guys, just look at what they sent back to me....they sent the device WITH NO HARD DRIVE. WHAT FREAKING CROOKS! 2nd Addition: Brent Jackson weighed in below about how bad he feels about their performance and they will "make things right". Well....he didn't. They eventually shipped my my hard drive...but what am I supposed to do with a disassembled recorder? They also did not refund any of my shipping costs. They should refund me 100% for this disaster of a service. I've asked for some response and am now getting ghosted. These guys should not be in business. Hopefully you steer your business to other, more reputable firms, and over time they wont be.
