I had given my hard drive for diagnosis. It was mentioned that one of the 4 read-write heads were damaged and I was provided a quote to have it replaced from a donor drive and data copied. I politely declined as it was something I was not going to afford for the data I had in the drive. I had said that I would pick up the drive I went there and I was provided with an disassembled drive (drive in a SCS bag and cover in my hand) See picture. I expected them to put it all together and hand it over as I went like 3 full days after I conveyed my decision to pick it up.I am not very satisfied with the way the drive was handed off which is why I am giving a 3 star. Though I understand the diagnosis was free, it doesn't mean you provide a dismantled drive.

Long story short...my flashdrive (I know! I'm old school!) Malfunctioned. I called staples...$200+ just to look at it, have to send it out, multiple days. Best Buy...looked at it, couldn't see anything, could send out $400ish. Finally, I called Magnext. Mark was amazing! Halley was super sweet. Mark retrieved my info, made me two copies (I brought one in), and the fee was $161. Great experience, didn't send it out, and finished in a few hours. Use Magnext for all your computer repair needs.

From start to finish, exceptional service and a great value. When my hard drive failed and I was a few months behind in backing up, Magnext did an incredible job getting every last bit of data back. Tim stayed in contact every step of the way, giving me updates, pricing and options. I am so grateful these guys exist - the only other option would have been to send my laptop away for up to 2 months, spend up to $2K and hope for the best. From start to finish, it was one week, and the pricing was very reasonable. Highly, highly recommend.

My Groundhog Day started out simple. Drive to my office, go into my office, sit down at my desk and start working. Unfortunately, before I could sit down my IPhone charging cord was stuck under one of the wheels of my desk chair. All I did - All I did, was simply pick it out from under my chair and throw it to the side - BIG MISTAKE! It landed not just on the floor, oh no, that would be easy, it landed right into an open outlet on the power strip next to my desk. Not just ANY power strip - oh no, that would be to easy, this power strip had my computer (now fried), monitor (now fried) and two External Hard Drives (now fried) with all my data from the last 6 years. I was referred to Magnext by my Computer Repair facility also in Columbus that I have faithfully used for 26 years in business, so I fully trust their recommendations. They said that "Magnext is the place to go to recover your lost data". And BOY were they right. Magnext diligently worked and worked, and worked and was able to recover my data. Oh I know it took some doing and some research but the point is, they took the time, didn't give up, and recovered all of my data (which included a major project for a current client on deadline - I might add) and also my daughters wedding of 1/14/23. Thanks for Magnext and the whole team, for taking the time, and the adventure, and not giving up and helping me recover, and use again, in a more safe way, my data! I guess, I could have made this shorter and said, "MAGNEXT Saved the Day". Because they did. I highly recommend them!

They kept my hard drive for a year pulling me along telling me that it'd be able to get fixed one day. I finally found a company in California who could fix it. When I called Magnext to let them know I would be there shortly to pick up my hard drive, they seemed a little flustered and told me they "would get it ready for me." Once the hard drive was diagnosed by the other company, they called me to tell me the disc inside of the hard drive had been broken and my hard drive was extremely poorly & loosely put back together. I had never taken a part my hard drive or dropped it. It's always been well taken care of. Therefore, the only way for the disc to have been broken was by the person who opened it. Unfortunately for me, this is costing me now a LOT more money to fix, and there is a possibility it won't be recovered at all due to the disc being broken. (Mind you - Magnext had never once mentioned a broken disc.). I will say the people who worked there were always nice to me and the pricing was affordable. However, I no longer trust them and will not be using their service again.
