When my external disk drive stopped working I thought I had lost 23 years worth of memories. After a search for local data recovery services I found Data Rescue MDs and decided to give it a try as their guarantee that if they couldn't recover the data there would be no payment necessary. After dropping off the drive they quickly provided an estimate. They answered all my questions in a quick manner. The one negative I would be have would be lack of communication during the process. They originally said it would take a couple of weeks and when I didn't hear from them I reached out and asked about status. They provided a quick response but then it was almost another month before I heard anything. I was just trying to be patient and hopeful that all was not lost. So a status update that they were still working on it would have been helpful. In the end I was ecstatic when I received the email that they had recovered the data. Paying and picking up the new drive with data was also an easy process.

I had a great experience working with Data Rescue MDs! I had two failed devices that I hoped to recover data from. Unfortunately, one device was unrecoverable, but I appreciated that Data Rescue MDs provided a free evaluation for that device. My other device was a flash drive that I've been unable to rescue my data from for nearly 10 years, and I was so pleased that Data Rescue MDs were able to recover most of the data from it! The whole process from evaluation to picking up my recovered data was easy and fast, and they were communicative and helpful the whole time. I would recommend Data Rescue MDs for your data recovery needs!

I'm very happy with the results of my hard drive recovery! This is not a cheap process, but their pricing is very reasonable in the industry. I hope to never again need these types of services, but if I do I will gladly go back to Data Rescue MDs!

I went into panic mode when my portable Western Digital drive crashed with years of family photos on it, including those of my deceased son. I received a referral to Data Rescue MDs, and immediately dropped the drive off for analysis. MDs confirmed my drive suffered a "catastrophic failure". I approved the work and it took several weeks to complete the data recovery, but as best I can tell, everything is there. Great job overall. Highly recommended.

I work in the IT industry and have used the services of Data Rescue MD's a couple of times now. First I love the local drop off option which is a HUGE time saver and gets equipment into their hands faster as well. I've tried Gillware and DriveSavers but didn't care for the customer service either of those places offered. Could either of them recover the data most likely yes but at a FAR higher cost. I've had better pricing, better customer service, and most importantly faster overall resolution time with Data Rescue MD's than with any of the established incumbents in this industry. I'll keep coming back and using Data Rescue MD's and highly recommend anyone who reads this review to use them as well. They are fantastic.
