- Remove external power and peripheral cables (i.e. Mouse, Keyboard, and printer cables.)
- Remove case fixing screws (some cases do not use screws and may have a latch)
- Remove case cover (Some covers may function like lids and may not be removable)

- Identify hard-drive
- Remove IDE ribbon
- Remove power lead
|
 |
|
|
| |
 |
- Remove fixing screws
- Slide drive outside holding cell
- Remove from computer

|
