Experienced a hard drive crash ? Need Repair & Data Salvaged for Recovery? |
Most people never think too much about their hard drives. In fact, most people take this valuable computer component for granted. Let's face it, many of us expect to restart our operating systems on occasion when a program gets hung up. Nonetheless, we somehow harbor the illusion that our hard drive will just keep on keeping on until we decide to upgrade our system. While it's true that the typical hard drive will last for years, this component along with the DVD/CD and floppy disk drive are devices with moving parts. As such, it will wear out and fail. The question is simply one of when.
The problem is that a hard drive crash is far more damaging than that of a floppy drive or DVD failure because more than likely the most recent and critical is more likely to be stored stored on the hard drive.

Watch for Warning Signs to Avoid a Hard Drive Crash |
Sometimes a hard drive may experience failure or sudden crash without any warning, but other times there are signs that something is amiss. Intermittent failures, changes in performance or sudden blue screens are telltale signs that the hard drive may be on its last legs. The most obvious sign that all is not well with a hard drive is unusual clicking, grinding or scraping noises. If you hear this sound, immediately shut your system down. Such sounds point to a drive with failed components. If you system remains powered under such conditions, you could lose all of your data.

The Only True Protection is to Backup |
Although the majority of lost data can often be recovered after such a disk drive crash, the only real guarantee for protecting your data is putting in place and maintaining a reliable backup system. Moreover, it must be well tested and thorough. A backup plan is like an insurance policy. No one would buy an insurance policy without carefully understanding its coverage and provisions. Similarly, you should not rely on a backup system that hasn't been well thought out and tested. It's not a question of if you will have a hard drive crash, it's a question of when. To go one more day without a tested Data Recovery Plan is like playing Russian Roulette with the data on your hard drive!

WARNING / PLEASE NOTE:
You should never open the cover of a failed hard disk drive in attempt to repair, salvage or recover data. Today’s hard disk drives tolerances are very tight and the materials used inside are so technologically advanced that even the smallest speck of dust, contaminants or even gaseous can disrupt the delicate balance of the drives ecosystem. Any such disruption not only destroys the drive but all the data contained on it.
Data is written on the drives by one or more read/write heads that are designed to manipulate magnetic particles on the disk surface. This read/write activity happens with the read/write heads literally flying one two-thousands the width of human hair above the platters at speeds of anywhere from 4,000 to 15,000 RPM. Our data salvaging and recovery process is conducted in a world-class 100 cleanroom environment by a world-class group of mechanical, electrical hard drive engineers using carefully researched tools and materials to safely recover and ensure the best possibility of success..
